I am first a teacher. My job hasn’t changed, but my audience has. Now I teach teachers to use strategies and routines. My job is still to impact kids, but now I do it by helping teachers be as focused and effective as they can be. (Knight, 2007)

As an Elementary Instructional Coach, I am still a teacher. I am committed to supporting classroom teachers by helping them to grow professionally and to inspire adult learners through an atmosphere of respect and belonging, to grow professionally and impact students. I carry my teaching philosophy into my practices as coach because my goal is to make the love of learning contagious!
Highlights:
This is my 16th year in education.
And my 16th year in Stokes County.
I spent 12 years in the classroom. 10 of those years were spent teaching 1st grade. I have also taught 2nd and 4th.
I serve three elementary schools in Stokes County, Mount Olive, Pine Hall and Pinnacle.
I received my under graduate from High Point University and my M.Ed. Language & Literacy from Salem College.
I have my AIG Certification, a Math Foundation LEA Trainer, and a LEA Master Literacy Trainer.
I love to read!!!
My husband Eddy McGee and I live in Rural Hall.
I have 4 spoiled and very loved pets. 2 dogs named Louie & Bentley and 2 cats named Doodle and Amp.
I enjoy riding bicycles, hiking and taking pictures.
I love to travel and learn about new places and cultures.
